About the position

The Power BI Developer role at Vaco involves supporting and enhancing the academic reporting team by creating and managing Power BI dashboards. The position focuses on transforming raw data into insightful reports and dashboards that aid in strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Power BI and SQL, and will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity while collaborating with stakeholders to meet their data needs.

Responsibilities

• Creating and enhancing existing Power BI reports and dashboards (60%)
• Building new BI solutions in Power BI (40%)
• Designing interactive dashboards and reports to visualize key metrics
• Using SQL and Power BI to prepare data and build data models
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs
• Analyzing datasets to uncover trends and insights
• Maintaining data accuracy and integrity within BI systems
• Translating business requirements into technical specifications

Requirements

• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in creating Power BI dashboards
• Strong knowledge of SQL and data modeling techniques
• Proficiency in data analytics and ensuring data accuracy
• Critical thinking for effective problem-solving
• Knowledge of using Copilot (Generative AI) in Power BI is a plus
• High standards for visualizations and understanding audience needs

Nice-to-haves
