About the position

The Senior Power BI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that transform raw data into actionable insights. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions. The position requires expertise in data modeling, DAX, and visualization techniques, along with hands-on experience in data engineering to build and maintain high-quality data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to the data teams, making architectural decisions and resolving technical challenges.
• Analyze complex situations, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Engage in prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Establish and maintain report and dashboard best practices using standardized templates.
• Assist data engineers in developing data models to support key business decisions.
• Implement security in reports and dashboards according to security and access requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of PMO, Vice President IT, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analytics tools developing reporting and dashboards.
• 3+ years of experience in reporting and analytics using Power BI, including M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Databricks and related components.
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes using Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
