About the position

The Power BI Developer/Designer role at a growing global firm involves designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI dashboards and reports to meet the company's reporting and analysis needs. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate them into effective reports, while also utilizing ETL processes to manage data effectively. The role is hybrid, allowing for both onsite and remote work, and offers an opportunity to impact the success of the client's business directly.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to meet the company's reporting and analysis needs.
• Utilize ETL processes using SQL to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into a form suitable for data analysis.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their data visualization needs and translate these into effective Power BI reports.
• Implement data modeling, scripting, and other optimization techniques to improve the performance and user experience of Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data, system, and performance issues to ensure the accuracy and reliability of reports.
• Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve our data visualization capabilities.
• Provide training and support to users to ensure effective use of Power BI tools and reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficient in ETL processes using SQL.
• Experience in Power BI development and administration.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a knack for complex data analysis.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
