About the position

We are seeking a highly skilled PowerBI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong data analysis and visualization background and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft PowerBI. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate complex data insights effectively. The Developer will be expected to design, create, and maintain interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights. Additionally, the Developer will create and manage data models, including relationships, hierarchies, and measures to ensure data integrity and optimal performance. The responsibilities also include extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from various sources into PowerBI, which involves working with databases, spreadsheets, and other data storage solutions. Analyzing complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can support decision-making processes is a key part of the role. The Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs. Furthermore, the Developer will coach functional power users to be able to derive the full value of Power BI and continuously monitor and improve PowerBI solutions for performance, usability, and reliability. Finally, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for PowerBI reports, data models, and processes is essential for this position.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain interactive, user-friendly dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights.
• Create and manage data models, including relationships, hierarchies, and measures to ensure data integrity and optimal performance.
• Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into PowerBI, including databases and spreadsheets.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support decision-making processes.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Coach functional power users to derive the full value of Power BI.
• Continuously monitor and improve PowerBI solutions for performance, usability, and reliability.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for PowerBI reports, data models, and processes.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of experience in developing PowerBI reports and dashboards.
• Proficiency in PowerBI, including DAX and Power Query.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Knowledge of other BI tools and platforms is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and simultaneously manage multiple tasks and projects.
