About the position

The Power BI Developer will collaborate with the Data Reporting Team and customers to identify and document business processes and software requirements. This role involves translating business needs into technical specifications for reports and dashboards, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders, and supporting the delivery of solutions. The position requires a strong analytical mindset and a desire to learn new technologies, with a focus on delivering high-quality data reporting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand relevant business areas using techniques such as interviews, workshops, and surveys.
• Communicate tradeoffs to business stakeholders and shape requirements accordingly.
• Translate business requirements into specifications for reports and dashboards.
• Manage requirements scoping throughout the delivery process.
• Create documentation including business cases, scope documents, and integration diagrams.
• Ensure proper configuration management and change controls are implemented.
• Support delivery teams in developing, testing, and deploying solutions.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in computer programming, computer science, or information technology or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a software developer with the ability to document and write clean code.
• Experience with C#, SQL, and Microsoft Power BI certification or experience.
• Knowledge of various coding languages (SQL, PHP, C+, Java) and data analytics platforms (Cognos, PowerBI).
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and complete projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience working in an agile environment.
• Experience with IT service delivery development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or applicable field.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• ITIL v3 or ITIL v4 Certification.
• Working knowledge of service delivery frameworks including Agile, PMBOK, ITIL.
• Experience with PowerBI and SQL.
