About the position

The Power BI Developer position at LaBella Associates involves creating and enhancing custom project and portfolio analytics to support a large portfolio of utility construction projects. The role is situated within the Program Management division and focuses on developing business intelligence solutions that provide insights and efficiencies to stakeholders. The position allows for creativity and innovation in optimizing project execution and delivering critical insights into project performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop reports, dashboards, and KPIs in Power BI.
• Understand business requirements, improve existing analyses, and identify new analyses to enhance insight.
• Ensure visualizations accurately model the data.
• Perform timely ETLs as defined by business requirements.
• Perform data modeling with disparate datasets from multiple systems including SAP, Primavera, SQL Server, and Excel.
• Collaborate with the database team to define requirements and create tables, views, and stored procedures to support analyses.
• Evolve to predictive analyses once sufficient data has been collected for modeling.
• Manage and track agile development using Jira.

Requirements

• Expert level Power BI development skills.
• Minimum of five years of professional Power BI development experience.
• Expert understanding of data modeling and database normalization.
• Expert level SQL skills.
• Proven experience as an analytics solution developer.
• Creative and artistic design skills for effective visualizations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to understand front-end user's requirements and a problem-solving attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Motivated and proactive work ethic.
• BSc degree in relevant field, or equivalent experience.
