About the position

The position involves developing and supporting Business Intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards at Nucor Vulcraft. The role emphasizes a strong commitment to safety, continuous learning, and collaboration with business users and stakeholders to enhance BI capabilities. The successful candidate will champion the use of BI tools within the organization, ensuring data integrity and effective communication of improvements and changes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support creative Power BI reports and dashboards within Nucor Vulcraft.
• Work with the BI team on data modeling, analysis, and visualizations.
• Champion the use of BI reports and dashboards within the organization.
• Work with business users and stakeholders at the Vulcraft divisions to determine priorities.
• Schedule, implement, and communicate improvements, change requests, and support items.
• Promote effective release and testing procedures for BI report and dashboard deployments.
• Help with user training of BI reports and dashboard releases.
• Coordinate efforts of technical changes required to create and modify reports and dashboards.
• Work with Vulcraft Divisions to ensure data integrity.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of experience utilizing Business Intelligent tools such as Microsoft Power BI.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience developing, deploying, and managing Business Intelligence reports.
• Demonstrates understanding of key concepts in Business Intelligence architecture and report development.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands on experience with Microsoft Power BI.
• Hands on experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Databricks, and medallion architecture.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel for reporting purposes.
• Experience in conducting training sessions with individuals or groups.
• Experience working within Microsoft DevOps and the principles of Scrum.
• Familiarity with data management tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
• Experience with machine learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
