About the position

The Senior Power BI Developer role is focused on designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that convert raw data into actionable insights. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to understand their data needs and deliver effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess advanced Power BI development skills and experience in data engineering technologies to create and maintain high-quality data pipelines and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and support to the data teams, making architectural decisions and resolving technical challenges.
• Analyze complex situations, identify issues, and propose effective solutions.
• Engage in prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Establish and maintain report and dashboard best practices using standardized templates.
• Assist data engineers in developing data models to support key business decisions.
• Implement security in reports and dashboards according to security and access requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of PMO, Vice President IT, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in business analytics tools developing reporting and dashboards.
• 3+ years of experience in reporting and analytics using Power BI, including M Query, DAX, Data Modelling, and Row-Level Security (RLS).
• Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure Databricks and related components.
• Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes using Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with programming languages such as Python or Scala.
