About the position

The Power BI / Report Developer will be responsible for the creation, enhancement, administration, and maintenance of enterprise reporting tools including Power BI, SSRS, and related automation tools. This role involves collaborating with Business Analysts and Power Users to gather requirements for new reports and enhancements, ensuring the accuracy and timely availability of reporting solutions across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the daily operations and security of all reporting solutions such as Power BI, SSRS, Power Automate, Power Apps.
• Develop new reports, queries, views, dashboards, KPIs, and automation as required by the organization.
• Maintain and enhance existing reporting solutions and automation to meet organizational needs.
• Assist with budgeting and licensing of all reporting and automation solutions.
• Manage user and data security for reporting solutions.
• Audit and monitor reporting solutions for accuracy and timely availability.
• Provide training to Business Analysts, Power Users, and End User Support teams on reporting and automation solutions.
• Establish and maintain an 'Enterprise' IT supported portal for validated company reports and a 'User Created' portal for shared reports.
• Train end users to build their own Power BI reports and establish a peer support group.
• Present the status of reporting and automation solutions to Executive and Management leaders, along with recommendations for enhancements.
• Work with the infrastructure team to ensure all reporting and automation solutions are properly backed up and operational.
• Remain current on applications used across the organization and options for data extraction.
• Maintain KPIs for the operation and accuracy of reports and automation.
• Assist with internal and external audits requiring special data extraction.
• Learn and maintain knowledge of data structures, schemas, and integrations of core business systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, business, or a related field, or demonstrable work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Information Technology roles.
• 5+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Reporting, and data integrations.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, SQL syntax, and SQL Stored Procedures.
• 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SSRS.
• 5+ years of experience working with users in the definition, development, testing, and implementation of reporting solutions.
• 5+ years of experience with an ERP system and understanding of core data flows and schemas.
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
