About the position

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. This role requires a deep understanding of data analysis, visualization, and reporting, as well as the ability to work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Create and maintain data models, DAX queries, and data transformations.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation and quality checks.
• Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability.
• Experience with row level security.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI tools and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and industry trends.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for BI solutions, including data models, processes, and user guides.

Requirements

• Extensive work experience or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence and data analytics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, Power Automate, including Power Query, DAX, and Power BI Service.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with on premises data gateways.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in the public sector or with government clients.
• Certification or extensive experience in Microsoft Power BI or related technologies.
