About the position

The Power BI Developer will be responsible for creating sophisticated business intelligence solutions specifically tailored for the finance industry. This role requires collaboration with technology and business systems teams to enhance decision-making processes through insightful data visualization and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement comprehensive dashboards and automated workflows using Power BI.
• Integrate and interface with SQL systems to ensure timely data refreshes for reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and prioritize business requirements, translating them into technical solutions.
• Maintain and develop technical documentation for all developed solutions.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize the performance of Power BI dashboards and automated processes.
• Identify and implement process improvements, focusing on automation of manual tasks to increase efficiency.
• Test and validate the accuracy of data models and automated solutions before deployment.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in BI to recommend improvements or innovations.
• Contribute to team success by providing valuable insights across various projects, including SQL database architecture and ETL workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 5+ years of Power BI experience in financial services.
• Strong track record of developing and implementing system architecture with an emphasis on financial analytics.
• Deep expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and row-level security implementation.
• Proficiency in SQL for complex queries, data modeling, and ETL processes.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including fluency with XLOOKUP and PowerPivot Tables.

Nice-to-haves

• RPA and MS Power Automate experience is highly desirable.
• Prior experience in asset management, investment banking, or related fields is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Office 365, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
