About the position
Our client is a leading international private equity firm, managing portfolios worth dozens of billions of US dollars. The client specializes in four industries: Technology and Communications, Services, Healthcare, and Consumer goods sector. Client runs three practices: Digital, Operational Excellence and Capital Markets. The client is currently migrating their data warehouse to SQL MI and transitioning reporting solutions from SSRS to Power BI. The ideal candidate would have hands-on experience with SSRS-to-Power BI migrations or possess strong expertise in both platforms, with a primary focus on Power BI.
Responsibilities
- Work in tight collaboration with the team and business users
- Work on requirements (finance)
- Develop Power BI dashboards, navigation, measures, and objects
- ETL and data modelling
- Performance optimization and reports management
Requirements
- 5+ years in IT
- 3+ years of experience with MS SQL Server/Azure SQL Server
- 3+ years of Power BI experience
- Understand basic concepts of data warehouse building and dimensional modelling
- Understand basics of ETL processes and building data marts
- Strong knowledge of Power Query/M language
- Strong knowledge of DAX: creating measures and interim calculated table objects, filters, resolving long chains of relations between objects
- Strong knowledge Power BI UI elements, navigation, filters, best practices to create good looking dashboards
- Hands-on experience writing complicated SQL scripts
- Practical experience with SSRS reports creation
- Practical experience with SSRS to PowerBI migration
- Good communication skills to run a demo and gather requirements and feedback from business users
