About the position

The Power BI Developer role involves developing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise-level Power BI reports and dashboards. The position requires extensive experience with various data sources and a strong understanding of DAX and M queries for data analysis and reporting. The developer will work on both front-end and back-end Power BI development, ensuring efficient data handling and reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deploy, and maintain enterprise-level Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Handle and retrieve data from various sources including API, SQL, Azure, Big Query, MongoDB, and Python scripts.
• Utilize DAX and M queries for time intelligence and statistical analysis.
• Develop Q&A queries for on-demand analysis and mathematical simulation models.
• Implement Power BI back-end development using semantic layers, data flows, and streaming datasets.
• Optimize queries for real-time reporting with large datasets using Direct Query operations and hybrid models.
• Work on Power BI front-end development, UI/UX, data modeling, and semantic layer implementation.
• Implement writeback features using Power Apps and Python/R visual development.
• Document business requirements and use cases effectively.

Requirements

• 5 to 7 years of experience in Power BI development.
• Extensive expertise in DAX and M queries.
• Experience with Power BI back-end development and real-time streaming dashboards.
• Proficiency in handling data from various sources like SQL, Azure, and Big Query.
• Strong background in UI/UX design and data modeling.
• Experience in Excel and advanced Excel functionalities.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Knowledge of Python and R for visual development.
• Familiarity with requirement documentation and business analysis.
