About the position

The PowerBI Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing business intelligence solutions using the Microsoft BI stack. This role requires a strong understanding of data modeling, ETL development, and the ability to create interactive reports and dashboards. The engineer will work with Azure-based BI solutions and ensure effective data integration and governance within Power BI services.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop business intelligence solutions using Microsoft BI stack.
  • Create interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Develop ETL processes and ensure effective data integration.
  • Work with Azure-based BI solutions including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, and Data Factory.
  • Manage Power BI Services, Admin Portal, and capacity governance.
  • Utilize SQL, SSAS/AAS tabular modeling, DAX, and Paginated Reports in development.
  • Collaborate with team members to solve problems and enhance BI solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience designing and developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft BI stack.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, SSAS/AAS tabular modeling, DAX, Power BI, and Paginated Reports.
  • Experience with Azure-based BI solutions including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Blob Storages & Data Lakes.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL development and data integration.
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional and tabular data modeling concepts using SSAS.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI).
  • Experience working with PowerShell.
  • Experience using Git for version control and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience coding in Python.
  • Experience working with Databricks and Snowflake.
