About the position

The Power BI Reports Developer will be responsible for designing and developing interactive Power BI reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making within the Tactical and Strategic Supply Chain organizations at Crane Aerospace and Electronics. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translating complex data into meaningful visualizations. The position is a full-time contract role lasting four months.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy Power BI reports and dashboards that meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Transform raw data into actionable insights through effective visualization techniques.
• Optimize Power BI data models and report performance for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing appropriate data validation and testing processes.
• Update existing Power BI reports as needed.
• Provide training and support to users on Power BI tools and best practices.
• Work with IT and data teams to ensure seamless integration of Power BI with data sources.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong understanding of data visualization principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) for complex calculations in Power BI.
• Experience with data sources such as SQL Server, Excel, or other databases.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of other BI tools or programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field is a plus.
• Familiarity with Qlick, Oracle R12 and Oracle 11i is a plus.

• Salary range: $32.43 to $39.63 based on experience and qualifications.
