About the position

The Power BI Specialist at Ampcus Inc. is responsible for leading the documentation of business and systems requirements, developing reporting and dashboards, and improving existing business processes. This role involves engaging with multiple stakeholders to ensure data governance and quality, while also managing projects throughout their lifecycle. The position requires a strong background in data analysis and business intelligence tools, particularly Power BI, and offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for innovation in data and AI.

Responsibilities

• Lead, elicit and clearly document business and systems requirements of multiple stakeholders.
• Develop reporting or dashboards based on the stakeholder requirements.
• Review existing business processes and system inefficiencies and propose improvements.
• Prepare ad-hoc queries as necessary using reporting tools and other available resources.
• Conduct data quality checks using automated processes.
• Develop and implement self-service dashboards or reports standards across the organization.
• Review and mature data governance policies, processes, and procedures for guidance.
• Monitor and audit data access, data usage, and adherence to data governance policies.
• Engage with multiple teams to spark innovative use cases for data and AI.
• Maintain the data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes.
• Assist in the configuration and management of Dell Boomi integrations, database/system connections.
• Manage projects through all project life cycle (including cross-divisional projects).
• Perform other related duties and activities as required.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a data analyst.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Math or equivalent, or a Master's degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
• 4+ years of experience with business intelligence tools such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, Tableau or equivalent tools.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL and other database management systems.
• Experience with data warehouses, data marts, and data lakes.
• Proficiency with Python, AI solutions, SaaS and cloud concepts.
