About the position

The Power BI/SQL Developer role involves developing reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI and SQL Server. The position requires a strong background in SQL development, including complex queries and performance tuning, as well as experience in Agile environments. The developer will work both independently and collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders to deliver effective data solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI.
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures for SQL Server.
  • Perform performance tuning on SQL queries.
  • Create complex DAX queries for data analysis.
  • Design data models and schemas in MS SQL Server.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders in an Agile environment.
  • Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in SQL Server SQL development, including complex queries and stored procedures.
  • Experience in writing complex DAX queries.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server data modeling and schema design.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Pensions Benefit Management programs.
  • Experience with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
  • Knowledge of programming languages like Python or R.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
  • Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Other relevant certifications in SQL, Data Analysis, and database management.
