About the position

The Power BI Support Engineer role at TEKsystems involves providing technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI and related technologies. The position requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with end users and engineering teams, ensuring customer issues are resolved efficiently and within defined service level agreements (SLAs). The role is crucial in bridging the gap between users and technical teams, focusing on root cause analysis and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Power BI and related technologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve customer-reported issues within defined SLAs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with end users regarding technical issues and solutions.
  • Act as a liaison between end users and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Handle escalations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deescalate situations.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate technical errors and solutions effectively.
  • Write detailed and well-presented emails to communicate with customers.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of overall experience in technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI administration.
  • Basic knowledge of SSRS, with additional knowledge of SSAS and SSIS being advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in customer support projects and handling customer issues.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Deep technical skills in a variety of technologies.
