About the position

The Power BI Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI and related technologies. This role involves communicating effectively with end users, performing root cause analysis, and resolving customer-reported issues within defined service level agreements (SLAs). The engineer will act as a liaison between end users and engineering teams, ensuring effective collaboration and resolution of technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Power BI and related technologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve customer-reported issues within defined SLAs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with end users regarding technical issues and solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between end users and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Handle escalations and involve the right parties to deescalate situations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer support processes.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate technical errors and solutions effectively.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of overall experience in technical support and troubleshooting.
  • Strong knowledge of Power BI, SQL, and basic knowledge of SSRS.
  • Experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI administration.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to understand complex issues in an ambiguous environment.
  • Experience in customer support projects and handling customer interactions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of SSAS and SSIS is an added advantage.
  • Familiarity with Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
