About the position

The Power BI Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI and related technologies. This role requires strong communication skills to effectively interact with end users and engineering teams, ensuring timely resolution of customer issues. The engineer will perform root cause analysis, manage escalations, and maintain high-quality service within defined SLAs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for Power BI and related technologies.
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve customer-reported issues within defined SLAs.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with end users regarding technical issues and solutions.
  • Act as a bridge between end users and engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Handle escalations and involve the right parties to deescalate situations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer support processes.
  • Maintain knowledge of Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and related tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years experience with Power BI.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience with Azure Fundamentals.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Experience in technical support projects and handling customers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of SQL, SSRS, SSAS, and SSIS is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm to upgrade technology from time to time.
