About the position

The Power Control Systems Engineer at Apple is responsible for designing and evolving power control architectures to enhance battery life and user experience across Apple products. This role involves analyzing performance and power data, collaborating with system and software teams, and evaluating power control algorithms to optimize device performance under power constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve power control architecture for Apple products.
  • Gather and analyze performance/power data from real-world workloads.
  • Collaborate with system and software teams to characterize and analyze power/performance profiles.
  • Evaluate power control algorithms based on insights gained from data analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent.
  • Experience programming with MATLAB/Simulink, C/C++, bash, and/or Python.
  • Experience with control system design, including Classical and Modern Control Systems design, System Identification algorithms, Estimation Theory, and/or Signal Processing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Innovative and critical system-level thinker with control system design and debug skills.
  • Desire to bring data-driven decision-making and analytics to improve products.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
