About the position

The Power Delivery Senior Project Manager at POWER Engineers is responsible for overseeing the technical and financial aspects of transmission and distribution projects. This role involves managing client relationships, promoting the company's services, and leading project teams to ensure successful project delivery. The position offers flexibility with remote work options and requires a strong background in project management within the electric power industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical and financial aspects of Power Delivery projects.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships and market POWER's services.
  • Promote company culture and manage internal and external relationships.
  • Manage status reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled for each project.
  • Collaborate with project design teams.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to project teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and oversee budgets.
  • Lead project status meetings with teams and clients.
  • Participate in proposal preparation and client relationship building.
  • Travel to client and company locations periodically.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering management, or construction management, or 10+ years of experience in the electric power and communications industry.
  • Minimum of 15 years of applicable industry experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience.
  • Familiarity with US investor-owned, cooperative, and municipal electric utilities.
  • Professional Engineering registration or PMP certification, preferably both.
  • Experience in project management and/or lead engineer roles on small- to medium-scale Transmission and Distribution projects.
  • Knowledge of project management processes and tools.
  • Understanding of planning, design, and operation of transmission and distribution systems.
  • Proficiency with financial analysis tools in a utility or consulting setting.
  • Experience in project controls.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CPM scheduling and cost analysis.
  • Strong proposal writing skills.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and deliver project presentations.
