The Power Electrical Engineer V position at BCForward involves overseeing the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, particularly in the context of smart glasses. Advanced skills in performing detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards are essential, along with the ability to create sketches and engineering drawings. A solid understanding of electrical theory principles as they apply to engineering projects is required, as is familiarity with computer applications and design software relevant to the engineering field. Hands-on experience with lab test equipment, such as high-speed oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition systems, is crucial for success in this position. Proficiency in programming languages like Python and MATLAB is also necessary for processing bench work data.
