About the position
The Power Equipment Operator position in Flower Mound, TX involves the operation of forklifts and other power equipment to manage product movement within a distribution center. The role requires a significant amount of time spent operating equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency in handling materials, and maintaining a clean work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and power equipment to unload, push, pull, lift, stack, tier, move, or load products throughout the distribution center.
- Spend at least 80% of working hours operating power equipment.
- Drive forklifts or power equipment to transfer materials between unloading, processing, loading, and storage areas.
- Organize and secure stored materials such as boxes and pallets.
- Load or unload product/material manually onto pallets, platforms, skids, or lifting devices.
- Perform routine post and pre-inspections to ensure suitable working condition of forklift equipment.
- Report to supervisor regarding any damage to racks, faulty equipment, or safety hazards.
- Weigh product/material and record weight and production information on labels and tags.
- Wrap material loads with a wrapper and ensure the warehouse premises are clean.
- Complete power equipment training provided by the company.
- Recharge batteries on power equipment as needed.
Requirements
- Valid Pallet Jack Certification certification.
- Experience in heavy equipment operation.
- High school diploma or GED.
