About the position

The Power Marketing Senior Manager at TotalEnergies is responsible for negotiating agreements for various offtake structures, focusing on delivering clean firm power purchase agreements (PPAs) to end users. This role involves collaboration with internal departments, developing client relationships, and executing the origination strategy for solar and storage projects. The manager will represent the company at industry events, analyze market data, and ensure successful handover of agreements to asset management while fostering ongoing client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate agreements for various offtake structures in coordination with the Renewables and IPBU team.
  • Deliver clean firm power PPAs to end users, collaborating with internal departments.
  • Contribute to the origination & power marketing strategy for solar and storage projects.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, including utilities and corporate offtakers.
  • Represent the company in industry conferences/forums and client meetings.
  • Evaluate RFPs and coordinate pricing responses with the team.
  • Redline term sheets and full form agreements in regulated and deregulated markets.
  • Initiate and develop bilateral relationships with potential offtakers, highlighting PV development opportunities.
  • Lead negotiations for various offtake structures, including structured PPAs and VPPAs.
  • Gather and analyze data about consumers, competitors, and market conditions, updating Salesforce and management.
  • Convert complex data into understandable reports and present results to management.
  • Collaborate with development, legal, project finance, and technical teams as necessary.
  • Support preparation of materials for project finance and sell-down activities.
  • Ensure successful handover of PPA requirements to asset management while nurturing client relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Engineering or related discipline required; graduate degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in US origination, sales, power finance, or trading with a proven track record.
  • Experience in wind, solar, and BESS power marketing, with a focus on structuring baseload renewable power contracts preferred.
  • Demonstrated customer-focused, commercial management, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Solid oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Results-driven with the ability to work well within a cross-functional team.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new tasks and accommodate a dynamic environment.
