About the position
The Power Plant Operator position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and repairing all power plant and facilities equipment to ensure the provision of heating, cooling, city water, electric service, and steam throughout the facility. This role requires an experienced operator to perform a full range of assignments in a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain power plant equipment and facilities.
- Repair power plant equipment as needed.
- Provide heating, cooling, city water, electric service, and steam throughout the facility.
- Document relevant experience and education in the application process.
- Complete a background investigation and criminal records check as a condition of employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Four years of experience in power plant operation, including two years equivalent to a Power Plant Operator 8.
