About the position

The PowerPoint Presentation Specialist/Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Investment Banking Group by creating high-impact visual presentations and marketing materials. This position requires a blend of creativity and technical skills, particularly in Microsoft PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator. The specialist will be responsible for designing and executing presentations that effectively communicate the value of specific business offerings to both internal and external clients. This includes the ability to create custom PowerPoint templates, utilizing advanced knowledge of slide masters and incorporating visual designs from Adobe software. In addition to presentation design, the role involves extensive formatting and project editing to ensure compliance with the firm's corporate branding policies and guidelines. The specialist will also create a variety of illustrations and layouts, converting raw data into visual Excel charts, and ensuring that all information is accurate and instructions are followed correctly. The ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is essential, as is staying current with design best practices and technology trends. Collaboration with internal teams throughout the creative and production process is a key aspect of this role, as the specialist will need to determine deadlines, job instructions, and design requirements. The position is non-exempt and requires working Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET, with four days in the office and one day remote.

Responsibilities

  • Design and execute high-impact visual presentations for internal and external clients.
  • Create custom PowerPoint templates with advanced knowledge of slide masters.
  • Provide extensive formatting and project editing support in accordance with corporate branding policies.
  • Create illustrations and layouts using various software to develop innovative graphic designs.
  • Convert raw data into visual Excel charts.
  • Prioritize and balance multiple projects effectively in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure all information is accurate and instructions are carried out correctly.
  • Stay up to date on technology, design best practices, and trends.
  • Liaise with internal teams throughout the creative/production process to determine deadlines and design requirements.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience providing PowerPoint presentation support for financial services.
  • Bachelor or Associate degree in design, marketing, or interactive multimedia.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Experience creating custom client PowerPoint templates.
  • Ability to provide concept development, design, and execution through illustration of visual materials.
  • Acute attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Strong design skills suitable for a corporate environment.
  • Strong portfolio of work over a wide range of projects.
  • Experience creating print collateral such as signage, brochures, and flyers.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (oral and written).
