About the position

The Presentation Specialist / Graphic Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the Global Investment Banking Group by creating, editing, and formatting presentations, graphics, and other marketing materials. This position requires a strong focus on visual communication and design, ensuring that all materials produced align with RBC's branding standards. The specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the creation of custom PowerPoint templates, illustrations, and layouts using various software tools. The role demands a high level of creativity and technical skill to develop innovative graphic designs that meet the business goals of both internal and external clients. In addition to design work, the Presentation Specialist will liaise directly with managers and clients to determine project deadlines, job instructions, and design requirements. The ability to balance multiple projects and meet tight deadlines is essential. The specialist will also need to stay updated on the latest technology and design best practices to ensure that the team's work remains current and competitive. This position is non-exempt and requires working Monday through Friday from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM ET, with four days in the office and one day remote. The ideal candidate will possess a strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of projects, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite, and experience in creating print collateral such as signage, brochures, and flyers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality are paramount in this role, as is the readiness to follow established processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Creation, editing, and formatting of PowerPoint presentations and marketing materials for both external and internal clients.
• Creating a wide range of illustrations and layouts using various computer software to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet business goals.
• Create custom client PowerPoint Templates.
• Offer conceptual and visual solutions to enhance client materials.
• Create visuals through ideations and mock-ups.
• Ensure all materials produced are correctly branded per RBC standards.
• Stay up to date on technology, design best practices, and trends to keep our work and team current.
• Assess work and make decisions from a technical point of view and prioritize requests efficiently.
• Liaise directly with manager and clients to determine deadlines, job instructions, and design requirements.
• Balance multiple projects and tight deadlines.

Requirements

• Strong portfolio of work over a wide range of projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience creating custom client PowerPoint templates.
• Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
• Experience creating print collateral such as signage, single pager, brochure, dinner invites, special campaigns, postcards, and flyers.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills (oral and written).
• Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as part of a team.
• Readiness to follow processes, policies, and procedures.
