About the position
The Power Quality Technician role at Actalent focuses on third-party Electrical QA/QC and commissioning. This lead position involves mentoring junior technicians and specialists while fostering strong customer relationships. The technician will ensure compliance with NEC code, city regulations, and customer specifications, while also enhancing the quality of electrical installations through collaboration with contractors and system owners.
Responsibilities
- Conduct electrical QA/QC in accordance with NEC code, city regulations, and customer specifications.
- Verify that installations align with drawings and documentation.
- Identify and report installation deficiencies observed in the field.
- Collaborate with contractors to enhance the overall quality of installations.
- Work with contractors, general contractors, system owners, and authorities to resolve quality issues.
- Review and audit electrical testing documentation.
- Participate in all related coordination, planning, reporting, and construction meetings.
Requirements
- Perform electrical QA/QC using NEC code.
- Experience in the semiconductor or construction industry.
- Proficient in complex switching procedures and best practices for various equipment, including GIS, low voltage switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, and emergency generators.
- Familiar with NETA ATS-MTS standards, OSHA-10, NEC code, NFPA-70E, city codes, and electrical blueprint reading.
