About the position

The position involves working collaboratively with a diverse team of engineers at Apple to develop and enhance automation tools for wireless power technologies. The role focuses on building and maintaining software infrastructure, ensuring high-quality software architecture, and implementing various testing methodologies to improve efficiency and performance.

Responsibilities

• Work cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to develop and integrate automation tools.
• Build, maintain, and continuously improve software infrastructure.
• Ensure high quality and agility with software architecture, unit, integration, validation, and automation tests.
• Develop new automation features and maintain existing code.
• Troubleshoot and solve problems effectively.
• Document and present software architecture and decisions.

Requirements

• BS degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 3 years of proven experience.
• Proficiency in Python programming.
• Experience with other programming languages such as C/C++, MatLab, or similar.
• Experience with databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar.
• Experience in developing test automation including equipment drivers, debug tools, automation scripts, database interfaces, and reporting tools.
• Basic understanding of wireless test lab equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, network analyzer, power meter).

Nice-to-haves

• Experience running automated testing systems and robots.
• Knowledge of large data storage solutions (Amazon S3 or similar).
• Familiarity with web-based applications like REST APIs.
• Passion for software architecture, APIs, and high-performance modular software.
• Basic knowledge of Inductive or Wireless Power Transfer.
