About the position

The TMBC Power Sports Sales Lead plays a crucial role in assisting the Marine Group Sales Manager by providing daily direction and support to the sales team. This position focuses on enhancing customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring effective sales strategies are implemented. The Sales Lead is responsible for engaging with customers, training sales consultants, and maintaining product knowledge to facilitate informed buying decisions for Boat and ATV customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marine Group Sales Manager in daily operations and sales strategies.
  • Engage customers in a friendly manner to enhance their shopping experience.
  • Support the achievement of sales, gross margin, inventory shrinkage, and payroll goals.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to the sales team, including task preparation and follow-up.
  • Meet with customers to assess their needs and provide relevant product information.
  • Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and awareness of pricing and promotions.
  • Ensure sales consultants adhere to training and certification requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Service Department for seamless customer delivery.
  • Prepare the showroom daily to meet presentation standards and maintain product integrity.
  • Manage leads and prospects using the CRM tool, documenting follow-up activities.
  • Resolve customer and team issues in coordination with management.
  • Assist in coordinating special events and maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and laws.
  • Meet and exceed individual monthly sales goals.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • 2 - 3 years of supervisory experience in a retail or sales environment.
  • Ability to calculate discounts, commissions, and percentages.
  • Proficient in reading and analyzing reports.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Experience conducting meetings and presentations.
  • Proficiency in PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and inventory management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective relationships.
