About the position

The position involves performing scheduled preventative maintenance services on power systems equipment, ensuring operational efficiency and safety compliance. The role requires effective communication with customers and supervisors regarding equipment status and issues, as well as adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all scheduled preventative maintenance services including fluid and filter replacement.
  • Operate equipment to ensure correct operation before and after all preventative maintenance.
  • Conduct load bank testing in accordance with client, state, and local specifications.
  • Perform schedule oil sampling (SOS) accurately and send samples to the lab.
  • Identify potential safety problems on equipment through walk-around inspections and report them to the supervisor and/or customer.
  • Use web-based STW, SIS, and ET effectively to obtain machine specifications.
  • Complete factual service reports, load bank reports, and inspection reports at the end of each day.
  • Communicate equipment issues and status to customers and supervisors.
  • Adhere to all customer care standards and safety policies.
  • Participate in training and support corporate strategic programs and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proof of high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Associates Degree or technical training from an accredited vocational school preferred.
  • One year of similar experience working on power systems equipment preferred.
  • Must have a current driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to communicate (speak, read, comprehend, write in English).
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices and proper fluid disposal.
  • Ability to start and run power systems equipment.
  • Ability to work overtime with minimal notice.

  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft computer products or other comparable systems.
