About the position

The Power Systems Experience Center Engineer at Eaton is responsible for creating and managing technical demonstrations and content for the Experience Center in Warrendale, PA. This role involves designing, building, and troubleshooting electrical demonstrations, leading technical tours, and collaborating with various teams to ensure a consistent and engaging experience for customers and internal stakeholders. The engineer will also manage projects and support facility operations, ensuring safety and effective communication of complex electrical applications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical tours daily, demonstrating energized electrical equipment to a range of customers.
  • Design and create technical demonstrations for PSEC tours and training.
  • Create technical video content, including script writing and on-screen production.
  • Program PLCs, drives, and AV equipment for demonstrations and facility operations.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing demonstrations and systems.
  • Collaborate with team members in Warrendale and Houston for consistency in experience centers.
  • Work with other PSEC engineers to create unique demo designs.
  • Specify and source complex equipment for demonstrations with the coordinator.
  • Match customer requirements with PSEC capabilities in collaboration with the coordinator.
  • Manage projects up to $100k and support large expansion projects up to $2M.
  • Support facility operations and ensure visitor safety when other team members are unavailable.
  • Work with PLMs to secure new products and create relevant demonstrations for these products.
  • Support audio-visual connectivity for guests and presenters.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years electrical experience.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Broad knowledge of electrical equipment, preferably Eaton equipment.
  • Knowledge of power systems and equipment/system design.
  • Strong hands-on/mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong computer skills and presentation skills.
