Responsibilities

• Provides engineering analysis and technical support for the electric power grid operations.
• Implements system modeling and develops tools to monitor and control the system.
• Performs system studies and analyzes operating results to develop solutions for system issues.
• Analyzes transmission network data and collaborates with various ERCOT departments.
• Supports model changes and maintains accurate network operations models.
• Assists with validation and testing of models and associated power flows.
• Creates data mining techniques to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
• Provides training and evaluation for Engineering Development Program members.
• Coordinates with Network Data Support Working Group on data exchange and model maintenance.
• Reviews and suggests improvements for modeling processes and technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a power system engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience within the electric utility industry is preferred.
