About the position

As a Consulting Manager in the Power, Utilities & Renewables sector at Deloitte, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering engagements focused on Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation and integration projects. Your responsibilities will encompass managing small engagements or components of larger, complex projects that aim to identify, design, and implement innovative business and technology solutions tailored for clients in the power, utilities, and renewable energy landscape. You will leverage your expertise to craft solutions, guide your team, and oversee the quality of deliverables while managing day-to-day stakeholder relationships. In this role, you will be expected to manage deliverables for utility EAM implementation projects, which include architectural specifications, use case development, requirements gathering, risk assessment, design specifications, test plans, test cases, and project financials. You will also oversee the quality of deliverables by effectively leading and mentoring your team, utilizing insights from cross-geography professionals, and ensuring exceptional performance in client relationships. Your ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing, will be essential as you lead functional and technical workshops based on client needs. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and fostering relationships with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor, and bringing utility EAM domain expertise to various projects. Your deep industry knowledge and insights will help clients confirm priorities and develop strategies that drive value to their business and enhance customer experience. You will also participate in business development activities, contributing to the development and presentation of proposals. This role requires a combination of direct management and hands-on delivery, making it crucial for you to demonstrate strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver small engagements or components of large, complex engagements for Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation and integration projects.
  • Manage deliverables for utility EAM implementation projects including architectural specifications, use case development, requirements gathering, risk assessment, design specifications, test plans, test cases, and project financials.
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables by leading and mentoring teams, leveraging cross-geography insights, and managing client relationships.
  • Lead functional and technical workshops based on client needs.
  • Develop and foster relationships with clients, establishing credibility as a trusted advisor in utility EAM domain expertise.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and insights to help clients confirm priorities and develop strategies that drive business value and enhance customer experience.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6+ years' experience working with Utilities clients or in the Utilities sector
  • 6+ years' experience in an Asset Management, Asset Performance Management, or Work Management capacity within the gas and electric utility industry
  • Experience implementing EAM solutions such as Maximo, IFS/Hexagon
  • Knowledge of database model and service-oriented architecture concepts
  • Knowledge of software programming languages such as Python, Model Builder, FME Workbench, JavaScript, C+
  • Business process automation experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
