About the position

As a Consulting Manager in the Power, Utilities & Renewables sector at Deloitte, you will play a pivotal role in leading and delivering engagements focused on Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) implementation and integration projects. Your responsibilities will encompass managing small engagements or components of larger, complex projects that aim to identify, design, and implement innovative business and technology solutions tailored for clients in the power, utilities, and renewable energy landscape. You will leverage your expertise to craft solutions, oversee the quality of deliverables, and manage day-to-day stakeholder relationships, ensuring that the projects meet the highest standards of excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for managing deliverables related to utility EAM implementation, which includes developing architectural specifications, use cases, requirements gathering, risk assessments, design specifications, test plans, and project financials. You will also lead functional and technical workshops based on client needs, fostering relationships with clients to establish yourself as a trusted advisor. Your deep industry knowledge will be crucial in helping clients confirm priorities and develop strategies that drive value to their business and enhance customer experience. Additionally, you will contribute to Deloitte's thought leadership and play a significant role in business development activities, including the development and presentation of proposals. Your ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, will be essential as you work with tools like Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word. You will also be expected to demonstrate strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills, exercising mature judgment throughout your engagements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver small engagements or components of large, complex engagements for EAM implementation and integration projects.
  • Manage deliverables including architectural specifications, use case development, requirements gathering, risk assessment, design specification, test plans, and project financials.
  • Oversee the quality of deliverables by mentoring teams and managing client relationships.
  • Lead functional and technical workshops based on client needs.
  • Develop and foster relationships with clients, establishing credibility as a trusted advisor.
  • Leverage industry knowledge to help clients confirm priorities and develop strategies that drive business value.
  • Participate in the development and presentation of proposals for business development activities.
  • Communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 6+ years of experience working with Utilities clients or in the Utilities sector.
  • 6+ years of experience in Asset Management, Asset Performance Management, or Work Management within the gas and electric utility industry.
  • Experience implementing EAM solutions such as Maximo, IFS/Hexagon.
  • Knowledge of database model and service-oriented architecture concepts.
  • Knowledge of software programming languages such as Python, Model Builder, FME Workbench, JavaScript, C+.
  • Business process automation experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to travel 50% on average based on work and client needs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Degree in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of EAM, GIS, and OMS enterprise architectures and web applications.
  • Consulting experience in a related field.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft OneNote, Microsoft OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
