This position is located in Houston, TX however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be at the client site 2-3 days/week.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Developers, Engineers, Managers and SMEs to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product, documentation requirements and data analytics.
  • Produce a wide range of documentation that meets applicable standards.
  • Develop technical and user documentation.
  • Document solution designs, concept of operations, implementation plans, Knowledge Base articles, FAQs, training materials and governance documents.
  • Support accurate and timely documentation for systems engineering lifecycle (SELC).
  • Evaluate existing and potential content with focus on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities to increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience supporting clients as a Technical Writer.
  • PPA (Procedure Professionals Association) certification is a must
  • Familiarity with Software Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) tasks.
  • Experience writing documentation and procedural materials for varied audiences.
  • Attention to detail coupled with effective analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed team environment and perform functional analysis to identify cross-relationships between requirements and identify appropriate resources to provide input.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong communication skills.
