About the position

The PPBE Subject Matter Expert (SME) at ManTech plays a crucial role in supporting the Department of Defense's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. This position involves translating functional requirements into technical solutions, providing user training, and assisting with help desk functions. The SME will work closely with system users and technical teams to ensure that solutions meet the needs of the Air Force's PPB processes, while also being involved in various support activities as needed.

Responsibilities

• Help translate functional requirements identified by system users to the technical team.
• Support user training when requested, helping new users connect system functions with Air Force PPB processes.
• Assist with help desk functions, in person, over the phone, or virtually.
• Help developers translate technical functionality to users for daily task application.
• Provide support to other systems as requested and approved by the Program Manager.
• Be present at the Pentagon or other primary duty location during normal operating hours, with options for telework or home office as approved.
• Be available during after-hour/surge workload periods as required.

Requirements

• 8 years experience specific to the DoD PPB process.
• A minimum of 2 years' Air Force Planning, Programming and Budget (PPB) experience.
• Extensive knowledge of the Planning, Programming, and Budgeting (PPB) process.
• Ability to understand the AF PPB process and translate it into specific requirements for system development.
• Bachelor's Degree.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Nice-to-haves

• Active Secret clearance.
• 10 years' or more experience specific to the AF PPB process.
