About the position
The PPS Coordinator at Montefiore is responsible for overseeing the IRF PPS functions, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, and facilitating effective communication between the rehabilitation team and other departments. This role involves training and development of the rehabilitation team, supervising the admission process, and monitoring therapy provision for patients, ensuring that all operations align with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Supervise IRF PPS functions.
- Ensure seamless communication between the rehabilitation team and other departments.
- Provide training and development to the rehabilitation team and administration.
- Ensure IRF is operating within CMS regulations ensuring compliance and outcomes.
- Supervise the admission process including the admissions coordinator.
- Ensure all patients on unit are scheduled as per CMS requirements and monitor daily provision of therapy.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science degree or higher from an accredited program in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, or Recreational Therapy.
- Master's Degree preferred.
- NYS license and current registration.
- Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in an IRF.
