About the position

The PR Director at PIVOT PR is a key leadership role responsible for managing client planning and tactical execution within a dynamic public relations agency. This position requires a blend of marketing expertise, project management skills, and creativity to develop and implement strategic public relations plans for top-tier brands. Responsibilities

• Create customized and strategic public relations plans through extensive research and creative ideating
• Develop content across various formats including media materials, blogs, website content, and case studies
• Build and maintain media and influencer relations, including outreach and monitoring
• Develop community-based programs and identify appropriate partners and organizations
• Create social media strategies, content calendars, and engage with audiences
• Coordinate client events such as press conferences, grand openings, and book signings
• Maintain organized agendas, follow-up items, and overall project management
• Record billable time for clients accurately
• Develop detailed client reports including completed work, goals attained, and future forecasting
• Support the executive team with new business meetings and proposals

Requirements

• At least a four-year degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or marketing
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience, preferably with an agency
• Strong writing experience with the ability to provide writing samples
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Must reside in the Charlotte region
