About the position

The PR Intern will assist with various projects related to marketing, public relations, internal communications, event planning, media relations, and social media communication. This role is designed for students pursuing relevant degrees and aims to provide practical experience in the field of public relations and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with marketing and public relations projects.
• Support internal communications efforts.
• Help with event planning and staffing.
• Engage in media relations activities.
• Contribute to interactive and social media communication and publishing.

Requirements

• Student pursuing a degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or English.
• Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively as a member of a team.
• Display a high degree of empathetic understanding, tact, and kindness toward others.
• Strong computer knowledge, including word-processing and design software.
• Familiarity with Adobe layout/design software preferred.
• Ability to assimilate information into a concise, informative format.
• Ability to help develop creative advertising and marketing ideas.
• Ability to accept constructive criticism.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Possess technical and critical thinking skills required to complete the duties.
