About the position

Our client, an international law firm, is seeking a direct hire PR Manager to join their Communications team in the Washington, DC office. The PR Manager will be responsible for creating and executing strategic PR campaigns aimed at increasing brand awareness and enhancing the client engagement experience. This role requires collaboration with leadership and attorneys, as well as managing the PR agency relationship to elevate the firm's profile. The PR Manager will develop and maintain media relationships, conduct media training, and serve as the point-of-contact for any immediate press outreach or crisis management. Additionally, the PR Manager will prepare, edit, and review press releases, along with other marketing and communications materials and content. The position also involves supporting the firm with various ad hoc PR or communications-related projects.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute strategic PR campaigns to increase brand awareness and improve client engagement.
  • Collaborate with leadership and attorneys to manage PR agency relationships.
  • Develop and maintain media relationships and conduct media training.
  • Serve as the point-of-contact for immediate press outreach or crisis management.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on public relations management experience in a professional services industry, preferably in a legal environment.
  • A bachelor's degree in public relations, marketing, or communications is required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
  • Must be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
  • Enjoys building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work occasional extended hours or travel if needed.
