About the position

Amazon is seeking an experienced public relations professional to join our global team and lead executive communications for Amazon Ads. This role focuses on crafting and implementing comprehensive executive communications programs that educate and inspire audiences, while also managing media relations and collaborating with various stakeholders across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead owned and earned communications strategies and messaging for select Amazon Ads executives across media engagements, speaking engagements, and owned channels/events.
• Manage executive speaking and media engagement.
• Provide strategic PR counsel and support to business leaders.
• Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news and proactively provide related counsel.
• Build and maintain relevant media relationships.
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges.

Requirements

• 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience.
• 5+ years advertising industry experience.
• Experience proactively managing a current network of media contacts.
• 3-5 years of executive communications experience.
• Experience writing for a range of audiences and formats, including social, copy-writing and speech writing.
• Experience working internationally, including with media across multiple regions.
