About the position

Amazon is seeking an experienced public relations professional to join our global Amazon Ads communications team. The PR Specialist will provide communications counsel and partner with business and communications stakeholders to craft and implement communications programs that educate and inspire audiences. This role involves developing and executing communications strategies, managing media relations, and collaborating with various teams to localize content for different regions.

Responsibilities

• Spearhead owned and earned communications strategies and messaging on behalf of Amazon Ads.
• Provide strategic PR counsel and support to business partners.
• Keep current on industry trends, issues, and news and proactively provide related counsel.
• Build and maintain relevant media relationships.
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 2-3 years of advertising industry or technology experience.
• 2-3 years of reactive media relations experience.
• Experience writing for a range of audiences and formats.
