About the position

The PR Specialist for Amazon Prime will play a crucial role in leading public relations initiatives for Prime in the U.S. and globally. This position requires a highly organized and self-motivated individual who can manage workflows, collaborate with various teams, and handle complex communications challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media relations, project management, and social media, and will be responsible for driving proactive media coverage and managing reactive inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Act as a PR business partner with the WW and U.S. Prime business
• Collaborate with internal stakeholder teams across Amazon to drive successful programs
• Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges
• Develop workback timelines for tactics
• Help drive proactive coverage for U.S. Prime initiatives by pitching and securing top media
• Manage reactive media inquiries in the U.S. when necessary
• Support strategic launches for U.S. Prime
• Serve as a global liaison for Prime with communications leads in other countries
• Write key messaging, press releases, briefing documents, and other external and internal materials for PR
• Manage external PR agency on monitoring and reporting guidelines, coverage reports, and end-of campaign metrics
• Identify key industry trends and announcements, drafting an analysis, and circulating with the appropriate stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience in public relations (in-house and/or agency)
