About the position

The Practical Nurse I (LPN) Floating Position at Foothills Health District is responsible for providing essential nursing care, including screening, client follow-up, and assisting physicians. This role involves performing lab duties for Maternity and Family Planning Clinics, administering injections and immunizations, and gathering vital health data from clients.

Responsibilities

• Participate in screening and referring clients.
• Gather information and follow up with clients.
• Provide injections and immunizations.
• Screen clients and obtain pertinent data.
• Collect vital signs and specimens.
• Assist the physician as needed.
• Prepare and clean laboratory equipment.
• Perform lab duties for Maternity and Family Planning Clinics.
• Help with the interview process of clients.

Requirements

• Graduation from a State accredited program of Practical Nurse education.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• General knowledge of practical nursing techniques for stable, subacute, convalescent, and chronically ill clients.
• Knowledge of sanitation, personal hygiene, and basic health and safety practices.
