About the position

The Practice Area Manager for Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) will lead the People agenda within the TMT Practice Area. This role involves collaborating with the Global People Leader and the leadership team to define and implement strategic initiatives aimed at developing the workforce and managing the overall people agenda. The manager will focus on understanding the TMT business, driving team performance, and ensuring alignment with growth objectives through effective people management strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the overall people plan for TMT, defining global initiatives based on priority themes.
  • Analyze insights on the people base and sentiment to define initiatives and set targets in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Manage team priorities and track progress through clear KPIs.
  • Create and oversee the pyramid management plan for the PA, including resource planning and strategy.
  • Oversee the affiliation process and ensure best practice support for TMT members at key career points.
  • Drive the global Alumni strategy and oversee Regional Alumni Councils to enhance engagement.
  • Set strategy and oversee the TMT Academy, ensuring quality delivery of content and events.
  • Enhance Expert Community engagement by identifying opportunities and gaps in collaboration with sectors and teams.
  • Track Diversity KPIs and define interventions to promote diversity within the organization.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to set agendas for affiliation meetings and oversee logistics and content delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field required; MBA preferred.
  • 6-8+ years of experience in consulting or similar strategic roles.
  • Excellent storylining and writing skills for presentations and memos.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large data sets and derive insights.
  • Experience managing large budgets and financial systems preferred.
  • People management or mentorship experience is a plus.
