About the position

The Practice Director at Radiology Partners is a leadership role focused on managing and growing a local radiology practice within a large healthcare market. This position involves building relationships with physician client groups, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering quality care and customer satisfaction. The Practice Director will oversee various aspects of practice management, including scheduling, hiring, quality management, and financial oversight, while fostering a collaborative environment among radiologists and support staff.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and create a premier local radiology practice in the designated market
  • Partner with physicians and business development staff to grow strategically
  • Ensure effective Radiologist scheduling and full coverage without gaps
  • Coordinate new radiologist hiring and manage onboarding processes
  • Optimize and coordinate radiologist licensing and credentialing
  • Monitor quality management programs and implement new initiatives
  • Maximize radiologist billing compliance
  • Conduct regular meetings with practice clients
  • Monitor key practice metrics and implement improvement programs
  • Develop and adhere to the practice budget
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement and support IT systems
  • Support a productive, team-oriented environment for radiologists
  • Communicate key issues and initiatives to radiologists
  • Schedule and run group and key radiologist internal meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; graduate degree (MHA or MBA) is a plus
  • 5 years of relevant experience in management, healthcare administration, or radiology
  • Experience in accounting, revenue cycle management, and/or finance
  • Strong Excel skills for creating and maintaining complex models
  • Experience working closely with physicians
  • Thorough understanding of customer relationship management
  • Demonstrated leadership in a management environment
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in radiology management or private practice background
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly growing environment
