About The Position

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  • 10 years' experience in Finance or Business Development in a professional services firm.
  • Thorough understanding of a law firm environment and operations.
  • Experience solving complex problems and driving solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead performance monitoring, improvement, and solutions development for business operations.
  • Develop and meet annual revenue and production budgets and targets.
  • Provide oversight for billing and collections processes.
  • Manage partner compensation processes and business development budgets.
  • Monitor profitability of significant matters with innovative pricing arrangements.
  • Lead the strategic planning process and ensure execution aligns with firm performance goals.
  • Engage in client development and relationship expansion strategies.
  • Participate in decision-making regarding significant RFPs and pricing strategies.
  • Oversee new business intake and manage potential legal and business conflicts.
  • Play a lead role in onboarding, integration, and departure of lawyers.
  • Manage hiring needs and partner promotion processes.
  • Serve as a coach and trusted adviser to Practice Group partners.
  • Engage in firm-wide strategic initiatives and share best practices across departments.
