About the position

The Global Head of Application Services at Rackspace is a leadership role responsible for managing the overall Application Services Business globally, focusing on Application Migration, Modernization, Cloud Native Development, and Support. This critical position involves building a profitable business from the ground up, partnering with sales teams, and ensuring high customer satisfaction through effective delivery of services.

Responsibilities

• Build applications services Business Unit for Rackspace Globally and grow the business around Application Migration, Modernization, Development and support.
• Act as P&L leader for Applications Services with responsibility for revenue, margin, and utilization targets.
• Deliver against a clear business plan that includes prioritized offerings, target markets/customers/segments, monetization model, and performance measures/objectives.
• Create capability and offering roadmap to accelerate the business.
• Lead growth of the Application Services globally working with Field Sales and Go To market team.
• Lead Solution and advisory led sales with existing and new customers.
• Participate in presales activities and deal reviews for the Application Services engagements.
• Solution differentiated offerings for customers to help them achieve their business objectives.
• Deliver large and complex Cloud application development, migration, modernization engagements across the globe.
• Ensure successful delivery of engagements with high customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Hyperscalers to create strategic initiatives for business growth.
• Establish Rackspace as a top Cloud Application Services partner.
• Work with Offering and marketing organization to create market defining offers and lead their sales and deployment.
• Manage a large team of architects, consultants, and Delivery Managers across the region.
• Build a world-class organization through talent management excellence, including attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining key talent.
• Maintain healthy utilization for the team and forecast accurately revenue, margin, and utilization for the business.
• Represent the business in front of Senior Leaders and customers.

Requirements

• 10+ years' experience building and leading Applications Services Business
• 15+ years of experience as an Enterprise architect
• 10 years of experience in managing large teams
• 10 years of experience in managing and achieving revenue targets
• Strong technology background on AWS and Azure Platforms
• Strong technology expertise on Cloud Programming languages
• TOGAF and Zachman Framework certifications
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or a related field required
• Advanced degree preferred

• Deep expertise in Application architectures, SDLC, and Cloud-based solutions
• Strong delivery experience of successfully delivering large application services engagement Solutions engagements with Global Delivery model
